A Guarantee of Origin (GO) is an electronic document that can be obtained separately from electrical energy. It proves that the electricity was produced from renewable energy resources.

One Guarantee of Origin corresponds to one megawatt-hour (MWh) of electrical energy produced and transferred to the grid.
Guarantees of Origin issued in Latvia are recognised throughout Europe!

How to obtain Guarantees of Origin?
Guarantees of Origin can only be obtained for the amount of electrical energy transferred to the grid.
A producer of green energy must be registered within the Guarantee of Origin system.
Auditing of production units (first time and once every five years thereafter).
A purchase contract is concluded with AJ Power for the Guarantees of Origin issued.
The electrical energy producer makes an additional profit for each MWh transferred to the grid.
