The AJ Power Corporate Group and Latvian artificial intelligence solutions developer Apply have combined their expertise in energy and information technology to create a versatile Energy Management System (EMS) – TRON.
The system provides control over energy generation and trading processes, making electricity management faster and more cost-effective.
TRON is designed for both industrial energy consumers and producers, including solar parks, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), heat pumps, cogeneration plants, and other energy assets. The system leverages artificial intelligence and specialized algorithms to optimize energy consumption and production while enabling additional revenue streams from electricity trading.
Originally developed to meet AJ Power’s internal needs for managing its large-scale solar parks, BESS, and heat pump operations, TRON is now available to other businesses. The first implementations have already been successfully deployed in several projects across Latvia, with plans to expand into international markets soon. More than 500,000 euros have been invested in the system’s development.

TRON helps balance renewable energy production and consumption, improves energy supply efficiency, and provides businesses with additional revenue opportunities in wholesale and balancing markets. The system also contributes to grid stability by aligning energy demand and supply while offering balancing services to the transmission system operator Augstsprieguma Tīkls.
