In Swedbank's business planning competition, “Business Sketches,” young people from all over Latvia develop new, innovative ideas that solve people’s needs in a sustainable manner. In 2024 competition 311 teams participated, bringing together 942 young individuals who showcased their strengths in creating eco-friendly and sustainable products. “AJ Power” awarded a 1000 EUR Sustainability Prize to the team “Hushroom” for developing a sustainable alternative for soundproofing solutions.

We got involved in the "Dod pieci!" charity marathon because we can't stand aside. Every child and young person deserves the opportunity to fulfill their dreams, regardless of the circumstances and environment they are in, because they too deserve a safer and healthier future. "AJ Power" became involved as a charity marathon partner and also provided the necessary electricity for the charity marathon. In the charity marathon "Dod pieci!" 451,189 euros were donated to support children and young people at risk.

By supporting the project "Group house for an independent life", we have donated 13,000 EUR and helped to take a step closer to our dream - building a house for young people with developmental disabilities. Under the auspices of the association, people with severe developmental disabilities make candles at the day center to realize their dream project of building a new group home. We have developed a warm friendship with the authors of the project and we are determined to support this project in the future.

In solidarity with the Ukrainian people forced to flee because of the war started by Russia, “Dod pieci!” called on the public to support Ukrainian children in Latvia. In support of the theme of the “Dod pieci!” charity marathon and the provision of assistance to Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia, the “AJ Power” provided the necessary electricity for the conduct of the charity marathon. In 2022, 804 384 euros were donated to the social media charity marathon “Dod pieci!”, which will be directed to support Ukrainian children in Latvia.

With the support of “AJ Power” a contemporary and premium-standard multifunctional recreation area called “Saules Parks" has been unveiled at Dobele Center in the summer of 2022. The recreation area was made a donation and was also supported by a number of local businesses, donating their time, work, knowledge, materials and, of course, financial resources. We are pleased that we have been able to contribute to this goal and to create a resting area that meets the needs of children and young people, where they now enjoy their time off.

The “Krastu mačs” 2022 was played in the Ukrainian draw - for the first time, team shirts changed their colours from black and white to blue and yellow, games were not for the coast against the coast, but for both coasts for Ukraine, and all points collected in the match were doubled, converted into euros and donated to support Ukraine. After 13 coast matches, or more than 300 hours of basketball, the overall score is 8-for-5 in favor of Daugava's right coast. We're delighted to be among the friends of this landmark event as a strong local company. #StandWithUkraine

The 'Cēsis Art Festival' offers a wide range of art events in one place: music concerts, visual art exhibitions, audiovisual performances, theatrical performances and cinema. The festival is held for the sixteenth time, which always delights art-goers with a vivid cultural program. We are pleased that “AJ Power” has the opportunity to support the 'Cēsis Art Festival', which is one of the most high-value events in Latvian art and culture life. 'Cēsis Art Festival' is working on the growth and sustainability of Latvian culture. So we're delighted to be among the friends of this festival as a strong local company.

Managers of enterprises of different sectors of Latvian origin have set up a Business Sustainability Council to exchange knowledge, deepen understanding of sustainability and jointly develop a more sustainable business environment in Latvia. Participants of the Business sustainability Council are United by support for global 2050 climate neutrality efforts, the United Nations sustainable Development Goals and the desire to promote sustainable business culture in Latvia. The agreement signed includes a commitment to set clear sustainability goals and courses of action within their businesses.
